Matthew began his legal career as Assistant to Command Counsel for the US Army Corps of Engineers–Europe. He has worked for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and defended numerous national and multinational companies, including the National Football League, Major League Soccer, and the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as mom-and-pop restaurants. He has defended clients in every corner of Missouri and Kansas, appeared in Federal Courts, successfully navigated the appeals process, and traveled throughout the United States collecting testimony.

Away from the Courts, Matthew volunteers with Wake the World, partnered with Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, to provide opportunities for youth from all over Kansas City to pursue water sports. He can also be found attending a Mizzou game with his son or enjoying watching his daughter perform symphonically. He is always ready to grab fresh coffee and go camping.
